First time race horse owners and BSW clients Ben Goldberg and Elliot Friman of Golconda Stables seem to have hit a homerun with their first horse, March X Press. The 2 year-old filly by Shanghai Bobby gave yet another heart stopping performance to remain undefeated at the Spa when winning the Bolton Landing Stakes on August 16th. Race Replay here.
Once again breaking slowly from the gate, March X Press sat in stalking position from the rear of the field. Turning for home, she bulled her way through a small opening and displayed an incredible turn of foot and hind strength to bound to a ½ length victory. TDN Article here.
March X Press was a $90,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase by BSW’s Liz Crow on behalf of Golconda Stables. She earned a 52 Beyer in her maiden win and a 72 Beyer in her Stakes win and will now be pointed to the G1 Natalma on September 17th at Woodbine which is a “Win and You’re In” for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.
