Secret Spice, a BSW private purchase on behalf of Bobby Flay, joining original owners Little Red Featheer, ran a gallant 2nd in yesterday’s G1 Clement Hirsch, going down by just a neck after bobbling at the start and going wide on the turn.
The G1 winning daughter of Discreet Cat was making her first start since another narrow top level defeat in the La Troienne at Churchill Downs on Kentucky Oaks day.
In March, she captured the G1 Beholder mile, notching her first success at that level, beating G1 winners, Marley’s Freedom and Paradise Woods, in the process.
