Book 1 has concluded at Keeneland September where Liz Crow was able to purchase three yearlings during the three day event.
The most expensive of the trio was Hip 526, a colt by Frosted out of the Curlin mare, Maria Maria. Bought for $325,000 out of the Gainesway consignment, the colt will be heading to the barn of Brad Cox for owners Frank Fletcher and Ten Strike Racing.
Five hips prior to the Frosted colt, Hip 521, a filly by Carpe Diem, was purchased for $70,000 from Beau Lane Bloodstock.
On Tuesday, Crow made her first purchase of the sale, snagging Hip 281, a Bernardini filly from the Warrendale consignment, for $150,000.
The team has now moved on to Book 2, which begins today, and will continue shopping the sale through next weekend when the sale concludes.
