The now five-year-old daughter of Tapizar has been working steadily for her return to the races, posting a total of ten works since February 28th, accruing three bullet works at Keeneland along the way. Monomoy Girl returns to the scene of her two greatest triumphs, the Kentucky Oaks and the Breeders’ Cup Distaff, where she was last seen in November of 2018.
Also returning to the races this weekend is last out stakes winner and BSW/Crow private acquisition Bellera, who will be cutting back to 7 furlongs for the $100,000 Musical Romance at Gulfstream Park tomorrow for owners Mathis Stable, Madaket Stables and Doheny Racing Stable. The four-year-old daughter of Bernardini has won her last two starts, adding the G3 Comely and Ladies Handicap to her resume over the winter.
Making her stateside debut tomorrow in the Powder Break Stakes at Gulfstream will be Noor Sahara (IRE), a BSW/Crow private purchase in conjunction with Mandore Agency on behalf of new owners Madaket Stables, Siena Farm and Michael Dubb. A stakes winner in France, the four-year-old daughter of European standout Lope de Vega will break from post position #1 in the ten horse field.
