This weekend marked the return of Churchill Downs as well as Santa Anita and with it came some outstanding performances for some BSW/Crow favorites.
Monomoy Girl, 2018’s Champion Three Year Old Filly, Breeders’ Cup Distaff and Kentucky Oaks winner, made her first start in 18 months a winning one with an easy allowance score over a sloppy Churchill Downs surface. The win also pushed her earnings over the $3 million mark.

A BSW/Crow public auction purchase, Monomoy Girl now has 10 wins from 12 career starts for owners Monomoy Stables, Michael Dubb, The Elkstone Group and Bethlehem Stables. The five year old daughter of Tapizar will now set her sights on a return to graded stakes action in her next start.
At Gulfstream Park yesterday, Sniper Shot, also a BSW/Crow public auction purchase, waltzed to victory over a sloppy surface in his first start over a mile, earning a 96 Beyer Speed Figure in the process. The talented son of Shackleford now has 3 wins and has never missed the exacta in 5 lifetime starts for owners Jim Bakke and Gerald Isbister.
