Champions and former Breeders’ Cup winners Monomoy Girl and Uni headlined 13 Breeders’ Cup pre-entries for BSW/Crow clients.
Monomoy Girl, 2018’s Champion Three-Year-Old Filly will try to become fourth horse to win the Breeders’ Cup Distaff twice, joining an elite group of fillies and mares. The big chestnut mare is unbeaten in her 2020 campaign for owners Monomoy Stables, Michael Dubb, The Elkstone Group and Bethlehem Stables, including her win in last month’s G1 La Troienne, where she became the first Eclipse Award winner to win a Grade 1 race after being off for a year plus.
Uni (GB), last year’s Champion Female Turf Horse and Breeders’ Cup Mile winner, comes into this year’s race with a win in the G1 First Lady at Keeneland, the same way she went into last year’s race for owners Robert LaPenta, Head of Plains Partners and Michael Dubb and Bethlehem Stables. With a win, Uni would become the third filly or mare to win the race on multiple occasions, joining Miesque and Goldikova.
Kentucky Derby winner Authentic enters the Breeders’ Cup Classic for owners Spendthrift Farm, My Racehorse, Madaket Stables and Starlight Racing, off a 2nd place finish in the G1 Preakness. Formerly campaigned by the Avengers, Authentic has enjoyed a stellar year having also taken the G1 Haskell in August.
Aunt Pearl, purchased at Tattersalls last October, takes her perfect two for two record to the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf for owners Michael Dubb, Madaket Stables, Peter Deutsch, Michael Kisber, The Elkstone Group and The Bethlehem Stables. The talented daughter of Lope de Vega was last seen setting a stakes record when completing the 1 1/16 miles in the G2 Jessamine at Keeneland in 1:40.86.
