Wells Bayou, last year’s G2 Louisiana Derby winner makes his four year old debut on Saturday at Fair Grounds in the G3 Louisiana where he will line up against eight older colts and geldings for owners Clint & Lance Gasaway, Madaket Stables and Wonder Stables. The two year old in training purchase has been off since last year’s G1 Arkansas Derby and will be returning to the Fair Grounds for the first time since his derby success.
At Laurel Park, Hello Beautiful will be looking to make it three stakes victories in a row when she lines up as a big favorite in the What a Summer for owners Madaket Stables, John Frasetto, K-mac Stables, Mark Parkinson, Dan Carroll, Eric Rebhan and Magic City Stable. Hello Beautiful comes into the race off wins in the Maryland Million Distaff and the Safely Kept Stakes having posted a career best Beyer Speed Figure of 96 in both of the aforementioned races.
