Hello Beautiful and Dreamalildreamofu both won stakes races at Laurel Park on a day where Wondrwherecraigis crossed the wire in front in the G3 DeFrancis Dash before ultimately being disqualified to 2nd.
Private purchase Hello Beautiful won her 7th career stakes race in the Weathervane for owners John Frassetto, Madaket Stables, K-mac Stables, Mark Parkinson, Dan Carroll, Eric Rebhan and Magic City Stables. The dark bay daughter of Golden Lad won by an eased down 10 1/4 lengths and will be looking for her 8th stakes win in next month’s Maryland Millions Distaff.
Fellow private purchase Dreamalildreamofu won her second stakes race yesterday, getting up on the line in the Twixt Stakes for owners Full of Run Racing and Madaket Stables. The daughter of Commissioner has had a nice year, winning the Latonia Stakes at Turfway Park before finishing 2nd in the G3 Allaire DuPont Distaff on Preakness weekend.
Yearling purchase Wondrwherecraigis continued his run of good form, crossing the wire in front in the G3 DeFrancis Dash for owners Michael Dubb, The Elkstone Group, Madaket Stables and Mike Caruso. Unfortunately he was disqualified for interference in the stretch, but he has now finished first past the post in three straight races after taking the Tale of the Cat Stakes at Saratoga last out.
